About Alexander Malloy

Artist Profile

Alexander Malloy is a self-taught digital artist born in North Dakota, US. Malloy thrives on creative outlet and has found his medium in digital design and composite artistry. After receiving his degree from the Oregon Institute of Technology, used the experience of his passive hobby by creating for fun to become a successful meme creator. Over the years he has honed his skills on multiple graphic editing platforms and now creates original pieces for a discerning audience. He has been passionate about art and creation since a very young age after studying and learning from artists such as Salvador Dali, Ralph Steadman and René Magritte. He nods to modern inspirations including Igor Morski, Jadurani Dasi , and local favorite Jasman Mander.

His style, subject choice and works are still heavily influenced by these masters today. He has works featured on numerous prominent social media pages, businesses in his local community and has featured his work in multiple shows and exhibitions. Malloy has an imaginative touch to his surreal approach to interpreting the world. He draws on his mental health opportunities to expel his anguish through darkness and humor. His skill sets are constantly evolving while exploring new mediums in digital creation.

Among many past-times and hobbies, doctoring his face into scenes has been one of his favorite means to share his experiences, influences, and passions in a unique visual way.

During the pandemic, in an effort to stay sane through escapism and media consumption, I decided to photoshop myself into famous movie scenes that reflected the particular day's movie.
